Enhanced Group and Blog pages

Both Group, and Blog/Feed pages have been enhanced to display their most recent activity.

So, for blogs and feeds: the most recent posts from a blog or feed; for groups – much more fun – a real-time aggregated feed from all the members of that group. Here’s an example for the UK Labour Party’s group.

You can also see that joining or leaving an open group – or applying to join a restricted group – is simply a matter of a single click.

  2. Good idea this site.

I just viewed it with chrome, fonts set to very large and it wasn’t pretty.

The lines tends to overlap and ain’t readable.

It looks good in a standard Firefox layout, so I wonder how best to allow users to up their fonts but get a reasonable picture of things?

Not sure, I’ll leave that to you.

I appreciate that you are probably fine tuning the format I hope that my observation helps.

PS: Will you be considering how to add text to speech (like the New Statesman does) or something similar which would increase the accessibility of the site?

    eitherway good luck :)

  3. Thanks for the feedback – much appreciated.

I’ve got a version of Chrome on my Mac and, yep, there are definitely some overlaps. Any chance you could send me a screenshot (to: agr@poblish.org) of what you’re seeing, though? Just to make sure I’m getting a true reflection of what you’ve seen, especially re. font sizes.

I hadn’t considered a text-to-speech facility, but I’ll certainly try to add one. It looks like the service the NS uses is a paid one, and unfortunately I can’t really commit to something like that until Poblish is properly funded :-(

    Thanks!
